Why should I even consider a remap?

Because it helps reduce operating costs by boosting efficiency, torque and power - all while reducing fuel consumption.

Most clients notice these benefits immediately. It’s a cost-effective way to gain better performance without having to upgrade to a larger engine.

Whether you call it a remap, chip tune, diesel tune, ECU tune, diesel remap, ECU remap - or something else – the result is the same. It’s better performance that you can feel.

What gains can  I expect?

As a guide, gains can be typically quantified as follows:

Road Vehicles (turbo-diesel)

Up to:
• 20-30% more power
• 25% more torque
• Reduced fuel consumption

Agricultural vehicles and machinery (turbo-diesel)

Up to:
• 25-30% more power
• 25 more torque
• Reduced fuel consumption

We have a truck rolling road dyne at our HQ, which allows us to test trucks and heavy vehicles under real load. The data gained from this makes our remaps more accurate.

What goes into a remap?

An engine remap updates the files in your engine’s computer (ECU) that tell your engine how to perform.
When you buy a new vehicle or machine, the ECU is programmed to generic factory settings. It’s a conservative, one-size-fits-all calibration that provides average engine performance across a range of different conditions.
But that doesn’t unlock the full potential of your engine for the specific way YOU use it.
We custom tune your diesel so that it delivers optimum performance for your unique operating needs. Because every driver’s needs are different.
Our experienced team considers factors like…

  • Climate

  • Altitude

  • Terrain

  • Load demands

  • Operating requirements

  • Existing hardware (exhaust, turbo, intake, injectors)

  • Type of emissions control system (DPF, EGR, AdBlue/ SCR)

  • Software and safety limits

So you receive a bespoke tune, designed specifically for your machine and the way you work (or play)

How long does a remap last?

The benefits last for the lifetime of your engine.

If you replace/update your ECU within 4 years of our remap, we’ll remap your new ECU at no extra cost (providing you still own the vehicle). After that, there may be a small charge for travel.

If you wish to reverse the gains from your remap, the modification can be undone at any time.

What will happen on the day?

  1. We can remap your vehicle on-site or at our premises. You make the call.

  2. On the day, our experienced Diesel Technician conducts diagnostic checks and duplicates your ECU software.*

  3. The duplicated software is sent to our in-house experts, who rewrite it to achieve the performance gains you’ve requested.

  4. With the ECU modified, our Diesel Tech uploads the updated software into your diesel. This replaces the original software.

  5. We run another diagnostic test to ensure that everything is as it should be.

  6. Fire it up. Then enjoy more hp, torque and fuel efficiency from your diesel!

*We store a backup of the original software for as long as you own the vehicle, in case you ever decide to revert to the generic factory settings.

What vehicles and machinery can be remapped?

We can boost the engine performance of most diesel vehicles and machinery.
If it runs an electronic injection pump or common rail fuel system, we can generally remap it.
